When we moved from the San Francisco Bay area to The Hague last year, I knew one product I would have to carry in our gift shop on the Fahrenheitstraat: Olivina body lotions, soaps and candles. I could not find them anywhere in the Netherlands, and the closest place was the UK.
I first used these fine body lotions three years ago when our good friends Suzette and Leo Cabatu, opened the original La Buena Vida in Danville, California. I tried the tester of olive oil scented body lotion, closed my eyes and imagined myself walking through a forest after a heavy rain: it is earthy and soft all at once. candle as a birthday present and I have been hooked ever since! The candles burn for more than one hundred hours, infusing the room with a natural elegant light scent.
These all natural products contain no wax or other additives, which leaves a pure olive and grapeseed oil based moisturizing experience! No more sticky hands. I like the Meyer Lemon in the summer because of it’s light citrusy scent, and the olive in the winter.

Vorig jaar toen wij vanuit San Francisco naar Den Haag verhuisden wist ik al dat wij in onze giftshop aan de Fahrenheistraat het volgende artikel zouden verkopen, Olivia body lotions, zeep en kaarsen. Ik kon deze produkten namelijk niet in Nederland vinden; het dichtstbijzijnde verkooppunt was in Engeland.
Ik gebruikte deze fantastische body lotions drie jaar geleden voor het eerst toen onze goede vrienden Leo en Suzette Cabatu de originele La Buena Vida openden in Danville, California, net buiten San Francisco. Ik kan mij nog herinneren toen ik de eerste keer de tester gebruikte met de olijfolie geur; het voelde lekker, romig zacht aan en rook heerlijk.
Toen ik op mijn verjaardag een Olivina lavendel kaars kreeg was ik helemaal verkocht aan dit produkt. De kaarsen ruiken zalig en branden voor zo’n 100 uur.
De Olivina produkten zijn allemaal 100% natuurlijk zonder schadelijke toevoegingen. De pure, op olijven en druiven gebaseerde, lotion zorgt ervoor dat je geen plakhanden houdt. In de zomer is de Meyer Lemon mijn favoriet vanwege de lichte citroen geur, terwijl ik in de winter graag de olijf lotion gebruik.
In de ruim acht weken dat La Buena Vida Den Haag nu open is hebben wij de produkten al bij moeten bestellen wat bewijst dat de Nederlandse vrouw net als ik Olivina ook waardeert.
